In March of 2011 the star of Sex and the City Kristin Davis was awarded with the prestigious prize of the Human Society of the USA which honors the charity achievements and contributions. Davis’ work on behalf of elephants in Africa was considered as one of the most important charity achievements of the past year and that is why the actress was chosen to become the laureate of the noble award.
The star of the scandalous TV show has successfully paid attention to the problems of the massive extermination of wild elephants which were hunted by the ivory poachers reducing in such horrible way the population of this rare and harmless species from thousands to hundreds since 1979.
According to Kristin’s interview, she is fond of these amazing animals (elephants) and supposes that only a proper human response can protect them from the upcoming total extinction.
She has managed to attract
attention of powerful people worldwide and for this achievement was honored by the group’s Wyler Award during the ceremony of the 25th Genesis Awards in Los Angeles on March, 19. Among other famous laurates of this prestigious award are the first founder Gretchen Wyler, the Broadway actress and animal advocate, Sir McCartney, Ms. Hayden Panettiere and Portia de Rossi.
